How We Met

That’s when Karlo said, “Hey!” and Jazmine responded, “I know you!! What’s your name?”.

We met in middle school as friends. We lost touch for about six years until we reconnected at The Catacomb Party, a local festival in Downtown Fresno. After eyeing each other throughout the day, we ended up standing next to each other before the headliner. That’s when Karlo said, “Hey!” and Jazmine responded, “I know you!! What’s your name?”. The evening ended with Karlo asking for Jazmine’s number and the rest is history.

Our Journey

After dating for only a year, Karlo moved to Pasadena, CA to pursue his undergrad studies. We decided to give long distance a shot, traveling back and forth on trains, planes, and automobiles through the Grapevine for four years until Jazmine moved to Los Angeles to pursue her graduate studies. We’ve been in the same city, ever since.

The Proposal

We lived in LA for three years, till we decided to move back to Fresno and save up to purchase a home. We saved for a little more than a year and after several declined home offers, we began to feel discouraged until one of our offers was finally accepted. Several weekends of painting and help with moving from both our families, we officially moved in June 26, 2021.
